PLAY A ROUND OF GOLF

Visit the Enchanted Mountains of Western New York, where you can try out our seven public, two miniature and one private golf courses. Whether you're looking for a quick game of 9 holes or a more relaxed full day of 18 holes, you will find it here! Tee off for premium golfing at affordable prices, traveling throughout our beautiful county, with breathtaking scenery on and off the courses. If there’s a day that you want to swing your clubs but the weather isn’t cooperating, you can play on the virtual greens at one of the area’s golf simulators! Your group will be gratified with the many extra activities they will encounter when taking a break from golfing.

HIKING AND BIKING TRAILS

Have outdoor enthusiasts in your group? Try any of our numerous trails in the county, perfect for hiking or mountain biking. Visit Allegany State Park, one of the first areas to embrace mountain biking in Western New York. You will also find camping, swimming, and fishing at New York’s largest state park. Spend time together relaxing on the beach, then challenge each other to a game of volleyball.

OLD GROWTH FORESTS AND ROCK FORMATIONS

Hiking through Pfeiffer Nature Center is sure to please with the views of open fields, animals in the wooded areas and even an American chestnut log cabin! The popular North Country Trail and Finger Lakes Trail run through our county as well. Rock City Park, Little Rock City and Thunder Rocks all invite visitors to follow the trails through, under and over these massive outcropping of quartz conglomerate.

GRIFFIS SCULPTURE PARK

For something a little more relaxing yet just as exciting, check out Griffis Sculpture Park. The steel sculptures are placed throughout the landscape in the fields, wooded areas, and even in the pond! The park invites you to climb on, pose with and marvel at the sculptures in this remarkable park that combines art and nature. Check out the newest and coolest events held here including their Annual Summer Music Festival and Night Lights in the fall season. 

TAKE A RIDE ON THE OPEN ROAD

Another way to take in all the serene landscapes is by motorcycle. Tour the area by bike to experience rides like no other on one of our suggested routes. Try the Heritage Ride that is 77 miles long and will take you passing the Zoar Valley Gorge, then through Ellicottville on the back roads and on to Salamanca. SLOW DOWN YOUR PACE

While you're with us in the Enchanted Mountains, take a step back in time and experience New York's Amish Trail. This trail is made up of nearly 200 shops and runs along the entire western side of Cattaraugus County. Venture from Randolph up to Gowanda, following backroads with picturesque scenery. A MEAL WITH A VIEW

In addition to all of the outdoor activities, the Enchanted Mountains offers an array of delicious foods. You can dine atop the mountains at Dave’s Halfway just outside of the City of Olean, where you can eat on the deck and soak in a gorgeous view of the valley. Or enjoy a peaceful meal while gazing at the beautiful, serene waterways when you take a seat at Park Restaurant in Allegany State Park which overlooks Red House Lake.
