Hospitality Scholarship Golf Tournament Supports Local Students; Professional Chefs Day Returns Sept. 13

The Greater Olean Area Hospitality Scholarship Fund celebrated a successful golf tournament fundraiser and is now preparing for the return of Professional Chefs Day, featuring more than 20 local chefs competing to support scholarships for area students.

ALLEGANY - Fourteen teams teed off at Birch Run Golf Club for the 3rd Annual Hospitality Scholarship Golf Tournament, helping raise funds for the Greater Olean Area Hospitality Scholarship Fund, which assists local students pursuing higher education, with an emphasis on hospitality-related careers.

The winning foursome finished with an impressive 12-under-par 58, claiming first place in the four-person scramble. Congratulations to Brendan O'Connell, Jordan Carter, Anthony Mater, and Aaron Demski for taking home the tournament championship. Tournament organizers thanked the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters whose participation continues to strengthen the scholarship fund and create educational opportunities for local students.

The scholarship committee is now turning its attention to its next fundraising event, the 3rd Annual Professional Chefs Day, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, at Napoli Pizza in Olean. This year's event promises to be the biggest yet, with more than 20 local chefs preparing signature dishes for guests to sample throughout the afternoon. Returning to defend his title is two-time Professional Chefs Day Champion Chris Clark of Clark's, who will face strong competition from an expanded field of talented culinary professionals.

Tickets for Professional Chefs Day will be available soon. Proceeds from both events benefit the Greater Olean Area Hospitality Scholarship Fund, helping local students pursue their educational and career goals.
