Pat McGee Run Club Returns to Little Valley with Free Community Walks & Runs

Allegany State Park educators invite runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to enjoy fitness, nature, and community on the Pat McGee Trail this June.

LITTLE VALLEY - May flowers are blooming, so it’s time to get moving! With the weather getting warmer, spending time outside is getting more desirable. If you’re looking to get ready for 5Ks and marathons, shed some winter weight, or just enjoy being out of the house, the time is now! Walking or running in nature reduces stress hormones and allows the brain to refocus and reset.

Join educators from Allegany State Park for a walk, run, or jog at your own pace on the Pat McGee Trail. We’ll meet at the Pat McGee Parking & Picnic Area gazebo on June 8, 15, and 22 from 6:00-7:30pm. The distance of the walk is set by your own pace - you can go as slow or fast as you’d like! Join us to add some movement to your week, take in nature on the trail, and make new friends! No matter your skill level or age, you’re welcome to join us.

Wear comfortable clothes for moving, sturdy shoes to walk in, and your choice of water or snack. Registration is not required, and there is no cost to join. Reach out to jonathan.anderson@parks.ny.gov or john.jenkins@parks.ny.gov with any questions. We’ll see you out there!
