Golfers, sponsors, and supporters are invited to enjoy a day on the course while raising funds for resident activities, entertainment, outings, and special programs at Salamanca Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Blue Suede Shoes Elvis tribute performer brought smiles, music and memories to residents of Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center during a recent entertainment program. BRADFORD - Golfers, sponsors, and community supporters are invited to enjoy a day on the course while making a difference in the lives of local seniors during the 4th Annual Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at Pine Acres Golf Course, 1503 Pine Acres Golf Course, Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Registration begins at 8:00am followed by a 9:00am shotgun start. Entry is $80 per golfer or $320 per foursome, which includes greens fees, cart, a hamburger or hot dog at the turn, and a hearty beef on weck dinner with sides after play.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit resident programs and activities at Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, helping create memorable experiences and enriching daily life for those who call the center home. Funds raised support everything from special outings and holiday celebrations to live entertainment, including crowd favorites like the Blue Suede Shoes Elvis tribute performer, who recently had residents singing, smiling, and dancing along to classic hits.
"Seeing our residents light up during special events and entertainment is what this tournament is all about," said Craig Southard, director of maintenance facilities and tournament coordinator. "Every dollar raised helps us provide experiences that bring happiness, laughter, and a sense of community to the people who have given so much throughout their lives. It's amazing to see how our community rallies together to make those moments possible."
Set amid the scenic rolling hills of northwestern Pennsylvania and the beauty of the Allegheny National Forest, the tournament offers golfers a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and plenty of fun.
In addition to cash prizes for top scores, participants can enjoy several exciting contests and raffles, including:
Toss a beanbag through the cornhole board to move up a tee box
Closest to the Line competition
"Putt Your Poison” - where bottles of wine and liquor are placed around the putting green and lucky golfers can win one with a well-placed putt
Chinese auction featuring an assortment of prizes
A special raffle for a colorful outdoor seating set, perfect for summer relaxation
A chance to win a four-burner gas grill generously donated by The Home Depot
