WWII Weekend at Eldred WWII Museum Features Living History Event and 1940s-Themed Fundraiser
Three-day event in Eldred, PA combines immersive reenactments, live performances, and a themed fundraising evening to bring World War II history to life.
ELDRED, PA - The Eldred WWII Museum will host WWII Weekend starting on Friday, May 1st at 6:30pm with A Night at the Museum Event. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased online or at the door. The Living History Event will take place Saturday, May 2nd and Sunday, May 3rd. Admission is free and open to the public, featuring re-enactors representing multiple nations and military services.
The Night at the Museum Fundraising Event will feature a 1940s theme with music, authentic war-time hors d’oeuvres we’re calling rations, drinks, wine, and entertainment including five theatrical skits that take you through the war years performed live. Attendees are encouraged to dress in 1940s attire. There will also be an art raffle and other raffles. All proceeds will support the museum.
Living History features re-enactors in full period uniforms with set up displays and authentic artifacts. They will be ready to answer your questions about the war. Both Axis and Allied soldiers will be represented, as well as home front individuals.
