Welcome to Taurus season!
Taurus is an earth sign, ruled by the planet Venus. What happens during Taurus season? We plant. Those with strong Taurus in their charts love tangible things like houseplants, gardening, chocolate, wine, and are huge into music. Taurus is a foodie and often enjoys cooking shows. The body parts associated with Taurus are the throat (power center of communication and expression) and shoulders. They shoulder a lot of weight (responsibility) and are wonderful vocalists. Taurus sun sign people tend to have a beautiful voice.
The new moon in Taurus falls on April 27th. The new moon creates some face-offs – there may be some power struggles and you’ll want to use this time to know thyself and forge your path. Commit yourself to putting your foot down and move forward with your desires. There is a lot of fixed energy – if you are not feeling impressed, don’t buy in! Be honest, after all it’s you who has to sleep with yourself at night. Don’t be afraid to say no.
Mars is finally out of its long drag through the mud under the waters in a sign it is not good in, Cancer. Since the end of last year, that was a long time of heavy family matters, defensiveness, people being easily offended, tacky, sticky and yicky, and I am absolutely glad it’s over. Now we can all take a nice deep breath of fresh air and be grateful that we can carry on with being who we are, we can get our mojo back, and don’t have to feel like we are tip-toeing around, or the feel to dim ourselves because of the hyper-sensitivity of others.
We have plenty of fire in the sky as we close out the month, lots of things are naturally dissolving, clearing the way for us to see new ways of advancing in our lives and we are getting new eyes to see, new senses to feel, and able to have more clarity if we are sober. Saturn (sobriety) is with Venus (Taurus’s ruler) and the North Node (what we need for healing but also insatiable hunger) all in Pisces – what we start now, if we are serious and willing to put in the work, has enormous staying power. Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Finally! The restraint is off and you can feel free! Get outside and do some jumping jacks, shake yourself out, take a jog or brisk walk, get physically moving again. Important: Remember to stretch first. Someone might have stepped on your toes, or you on theirs. Agree to disagree, without malice, and find lots of things to get your laugh back up to its normal volume. Fire people have big laughs. Laughter is freedom. Show others that it is safe to laugh again. Those too sensitive for your humor will have likely found others more on their own level to commune with, so you don’t have to lower your energy to appease anyone. It’s not a license to be inconsiderate or rude, but to stop looking for what you did wrong and clear the air. Apologize where it’s appropriate to clear the slate.
Earth Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Things are getting a little sweeter for you earth signs. Earth signs are naturally good with money and assets – what you desire just got a giant step closer! Plan and budget around the new thing that is occurring in your life, to help you feel grounded and safe. Things that have always been there are starting to fall away - this is actually a good thing. It is time for change, and change cannot happen if everything is still running the same as it has been for the last 12-15 years.
The wheel of fortune wants to be in your favor, and to allow for this you have to drop some dead weight in your life. Make adjustments now, create a new map, and set sail! You will have another big boost to support your goals that kicks in this June and stays for an entire year. Get ready for your ship to come in.
Air Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Pluto being in Aquarius has broken new ground for you and this is good, along with the fire energy in the current skies. Maybe you jumped the gun, and everyone didn’t buy in. Pluto will be stationing retrograde while remaining in Aquarius. This gives you the time to decide who actually is your tribe. Maybe your circles are shifting a little. There could be a new neighborhood, community, coworker on the horizon. A new, or upgraded caliber of people who “get you.” Keep your humor about you, and those who are not backing you up now may have their own distractions, so don’t take it personally. All the fire energy wants to rev you up. It feels good to connect with new blood, try your pitch, put in the resume - this is a time to put yourself out there, level up. Especially with Mercury direct, this is a fantastic time that you may get accepted by someone way up the ladder!
Water Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Phew! It is certainly a relief that Mars is done dragging the line in Cancer, this impacted you greatly, like hitting a snag you couldn’t have seen coming, but you may have felt it, since you are soooo intuitive! May 12th is a Scorpio full moon and all the things running around in the dark are able to be seen and you will have clarity to back up your hunches. With the North Node in Pisces, things are being taken away or otherwise dissolving and often times loss is painful; but to grow, we cannot take our past pain with us. Tie up loose ends.
Come to terms with what is out of your control, have a nice long soak in a sauna, hot tub or pool, journal, cry it out and get ready to bring your creativity, your wonderful energy, your compassion to others with quite similar sensitivities.
Create. Prepare for wonderful new insights to delight you. New people are starting to come in to your life for you to connect with. You will continue finding “your people” slowly, a little bit of a test, because everyone is not for you so discernment must always be exercised, but come June, finding your tribe will be super-boosted. Finally - people like you will be in view, where you can be vulnerable and no one will attack you for it. This is something you’ve waited your whole life for, soul connections.
Enjoy this month – laugh off the power struggles, continue to get to identify within yourself, what sets you off and why. When you get to the bottom of it, you may come to find out an old outdated belief about yourself was a nerve that got hit. It’s not the fault of anyone else who may have said something to set you off. It is up to you to be accountable. It is very powerful to KNOW THYSELF. It’s a life-long study. Self-love is key.
