EA2EVL Fondo Returns October 3, 2026: Registration Open for Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail Charity Bike Ride
The popular 42-mile charity cycling event returns for its sixth year, raising funds to expand and improve the Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail across Western New York.
EAST AURORA - Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail (ECRT) is proud to announce the return of the EA2EVL Fondo - the region’s premier 42-mile non-competitive charity bike ride - on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 10:00am. Now in its sixth year, the ride continues its tradition of connecting communities and cycling enthusiasts, launching from 42 North Brewing in East Aurora.
Cyclists will traverse the scenic hills of Western New York via Routes 240 and 242, culminating in a high-energy finish line celebration at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville. The 42-mile journey is supported by three dedicated water stops and professional tech support from Tom’s Pro Bikes. The afterparty will feature local food, refreshments, and live music.
“Following five consecutive sold-out events, we are thrilled to welcome the cycling community back for our 6th annual ride,” said Mary Brummer, ECRT Board President. “The Fondo is more than a ride; it is the engine that allows us to transform a historic rail line into a world-class multi-use trail. Every registration fee, every donation, directly fuels our ability to clear, surface, and maintain new sections of the trail moving south.”
ECRT extends a very special thank you to the event sponsors, who make hosting this event possible: National Fuel, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Small Firm, 42 North Brewing, and Holiday Valley Resort. Excelsior Orthopaedics is this year's Sign Sponsor, and Enchanted Mountains is providing promotional funding. Tom's Pro Bikes generously provides tech support to riders on the course.
Registration is limited and expected to sell out. Cyclists of all skill levels are encouraged to secure their spots early at www.ea2evlfondo.com.
