East Otto Historical Museum Open Sundays in September

East Otto Historical Museum Open Sundays in September

Housed in Cattaraugus County’s oldest building, the East Otto Historical Museum welcomes visitors Sundays in September, with private tours available by appointment.

EAST OTTO - The East Otto Historical Museum will remain open Sundays during the month of September from 1:00-3:00pm or longer as needed. Other openings can be arranged by calling 716-257-0654.

Last year a large delegation from the Concord Historical Society of Springville, NY visited the museum. Our Historical Group was very pleased with the many compliments they gave referencing the displays, pictures, record keeping and history that the museum has to offer. We would like to invite other people and other Historical Groups to come and visit our unique museum, housed in the town’s oldest building (1833-34) and according to Cattaraugus County Historian, believed to be the oldest building in Cattaraugus County. The building was built pre-Civil War and pre–East Otto. The Town of East Otto broke away from Town of Otto and became incorporated 1854.

The museum is located next to the Fire Hall at 8982 Reed Hill Rd., East Otto, NY. The building and contents  are “Our Town’s History.” Please come for a visit!
