Holiday Valley Wedding Expo Returns with Top Vendors and Planning Inspiration
From venues to vendors, Holiday Valley’s annual Wedding Expo offers couples a one-stop experience to plan their perfect day.
It’s that time of year again! Wedding season will be in full swing before we know it, with the start of spring and warmer temperatures heating things up!
Holiday Valley plays host to over 25 weddings each year, spanning from May through November, with a majority of them in the peak season of August through October, according to Jolene Kinder, Catering & Event Sales Coordinator for the resort. EllicottvilleNOW recently caught up with Jolene to discuss what couples can expect from this year’s Wedding Expo.
“I have been the Catering & Event Sales Coordinator for the last 10 years, and we have done a show every year since I have been in this position,” Kinder said. This year’s Expo will feature over 25 vendors - from florists and caterers to DJs, rental companies, photographers, bakeries, and more. Participating vendors include Ellicottville’s own Flowers Off the Farm, Nadine Saviano Photography, Luna Moon Sweets of Salamanca, and Buffalo’s Buffaluv Soundz, just to name a few.
Seventy-five couples are expected to attend this free and open-to-the-public event. Light refreshments including craft cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres will be served, and couples will enjoy mingling with potential vendors while soaking up the spring sights that the resort has to offer.
Holiday Valley offers several different wedding venue options. The Main Lodge offers a capacity to hold functions for 60-275 guests, as well as outdoor ceremony spaces, including hilltop locations and a large balcony overlooking the ski slopes and golf course.
Yodeler Lodge is perfect for parties from 100-230 guests and offers an outdoor ceremony space on the Champagne Sundeck. Hilltop ceremony options are also available, according to Kinder.
With on-site venues, Kinder says that couples have the flexibility to book their own vendors or select from a list of preferred vendors. To assist in the planning process, especially for out-of-town couples, Kinder says that she holds Zoom calls and phone meetings to discuss their vision and every detail of their special weekend. “Oftentimes they only see the venue once, and the rest of the planning is all done virtually,” she said.
This year’s Wedding Expo is expected to be another hit event. “I am very excited for this year’s Expo, as we have an outstanding lineup of wedding professionals participating,” said Kinder. “For newly engaged couples, this event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with multiple vendors and make meaningful progress on your wedding planning checklist. I look forward to seeing many new and familiar faces at the event this weekend!”
The annual Holiday Valley Wedding Expo takes place on Saturday, April 25th from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Main Lodge at Holiday Valley Resort, located at 6557 Holiday Valley Road in Ellicottville. A limited number of dates remain for 2026 weddings at Holiday Valley, and Kinder says that she is already booking into 2027. The resort also offers room blocks with discounted rates for weddings at both the Inn at Holiday Valley and at the Tamarack Club, and couples that book their wedding at Holiday Valley will receive a complimentary stay in a suite at the Inn on the night of their wedding.
