November Astrology Forecast: Jupiter Retrograde Opens Doors for Second Chances and Emotional Renewal
Rev. Suzy Woo explores November’s deeply emotional astrology — from Jupiter’s retrograde in Cancer to Mercury’s mischief — and how each sign can find opportunity, reflection, and healing this season.
We had a really fast spring and summer this year, offering a taste of the energy we can expect as we walk early 2026. But now, that super busy, buzzy air and fire energy has lost its fuel externally and invites us to visit our internal world of feeling, inner knowing, and intuition.
We have an enormous amount of water being activated in the Astro skies, with taskmaster Saturn and the stream of the collective consciousness, Neptune both still retrograding in quiet, creative Pisces. The sun is in Scorpio, Venus is in Scorpio, and Jupiter is in Cancer. That is a LOT of water, which is EMOTION. For everybody, we can expect to feel what goes on this month quite deeply. We may have our heart strings tugged pretty hard and there may be situations that warrant a great deal of compassion. You can already see this at play with the extreme weather events affecting Jamaica, Egypt, the UK, and here in the U.S. in Georgia, North Carolina, and New York City.
We are now in Mercury retrograde until November 29th, and on November 12th, Jupiter will retrograde in the sign of his exaltation, Cancer, going from 25 degrees back to 15 of Cancer. If you have any planets in your chart in this range, it’s where you’ll get another chance to notice something you missed.
For everyone, Jupiter retrograde is a time where a lost opportunity comes back, but you have to be paying attention. The energy of Jupiter and Venus - known as the greater and lesser benefics - are always positive, even when retrograding, unlike the tricky Mercurial energy which usually catches us off guard at the worst possible moment when our car won’t start, or we have a flat tire, or our phone battery quits. When Jupiter retrogrades like it will from the 12th through March 11, 2026, it serves as a favorable type of resurrection. Something you had your heart set on, that seemed to fall between your fingers like sand, rematerializes and returns with a revived offering or opportunity.
The catch with Jupiter, is that you must seize the opportunity, for if you miss it, it will keep on going without you. The big message here is to be paying attention for opportunities and take aligned action!
When a planet stations, it seems to stand still, hammering down on that particular degree until it shifts direction. Retrograding planets are closer to earth and thus we feel the energy of it far more intensely. With Jupiter, this brings us optimism, faith and hope; but avoid overdoing it and excess, also Jupiter.
Practice discipline with libations, holiday parties or going out to public drinking settings. If you get carried away or are intoxicated by substances, a new beau, or too much optimism without any practicality, you overshoot and can miss your target, losing the chance to cash in on the opportunity you’d hoped for.
If you are a Cancer rising or sun, this is your golden opportunity to shine, be seen, and take initiative to make a positive difference in your world. You see things with new eyes during this time, and though winding down for the cold season, reminiscing will inspire more joy in your current life. For Leo rising/sun, it’s in your pre-matter, dream house, and is inviting you to get clear on your dreams and goals. So when Jupiter comes into your sign next summer, you’ll be front row center for what you’re praying for now!
Virgo sun/rising, this is your friends, alliances and co-workers but also your highest aspirations, so really aim high! Create a vision board and visit it often.
Libra sun/rising, this impacts your career and public house. You may have missed a promotion or have had a delay in hanging your own shingle, so it’s time to revise. You may connect with those bearing great words of wisdom and advice to help you, so when the time is right, you launch with more confidence and competence!
Scorpio sun/rising, this is higher learning for you. You may have signed up for a course and dropped the ball. Dive into the information or invest in higher learning to up your knowledge base. Connect with people of other think-tanks to better qualify yourself for your goals. It’s a great time to plan marketing or publish too.
Sagittarius sun/rising, this is a period of deep transformation. There is opportunity to reapply or finally get a loan, investment or inheritance after being stuck in red tape. It can also be a time of intimacy with a developing relationship or an old flame comes back brighter than ever.
Capricorn sun/rising, this speaks to your relationships, your clients, or customers. Your partner may be resolving a crisis or see things in a new light, strengthening your bond. There could be new business alliances that formerly were off the table, now back for negotiations. Seize the opportunity!
For Aquarius sun/rising, this is your daily routine, including your health. This suggests a new remedy to a health matter, more hope, joy and optimism in your daily life, if you shuck away your own pessimism about your day-to-day life. It’s up to you to create excitement. Find reasons to have more joy now to create lots of abundance in the new year!
Pisces sun/rising, this is your creative spark. It’s a wonderful time to pick up that song you’ve been working on, screenplay, work of art, dreamwork - whatever it is that is uniquely you, and how you sparkle. It’s time to get it public! You get the magic keys now. You have to go for it - this is a golden opportunity.
Aries sun/rising, this energy relates to your home, family members, and offers a new way of seeing why your family members are the way they are, and even help you to forgive them because you now realize they only could do what they had the capacity to do at a particular time when you needed or hoped for more. Release any resentments here. There may be new opportunities to beautify or expand your home, or bring something from “the old country” to honor your ancestors into your home.
Taurus sun/rising, this opens your mind to new highs! If you can dream it, you can do it. Write it down. Keep a journal during this time, for new thoughts and ideas are here for you to consider. Pay attention to your thoughts and participate, become lighter, and more immune to those who are always talking about their misery. Stay positive, for you will see opportunities now that will take root in the new year!
Gemini sun/rising now is a great opportunity to increase your value. Ask for a raise, or an opportunity may come back for a higher paying job. Great for self-esteem and a fresh start on a higher pay grade, or you can get an opportunity to increase assets.
