Suzy's Star Readings: Your November Guide to Reflection and Inner Balance

Hi friends, let’s see how the stars may guide you this month!

What an astrological sign represents is where the sun is moving through in the skies. This impacts everybody, regardless of your astrological sign.

Scorpio season is “yin” feminine energy - a fixed water sign that is captioned, “still waters run deep.” It invites us to go within and allow ourselves to acknowledge where there has been pain, betrayal or loss inflicted, to allow acknowledgment and acceptance, so healing may begin. It is an energy of quiet stealth, observation, and strategizing. It rules things that make us uncomfortable such as death and mortality, but also eventually, rebirth. There can’t be one without the other. We can truly appreciate the vibrant, colorful new beginnings of spring having the contrast of “the dead of winter,” (which is the fixed sign Aquarius). Scorpio is the fixed energy of the autumn.

Feisty, ambitious Mars leaves its home sign of Scorpio and enters Sagittarius, also a fire sign. This will accelerate the following paragraph. Who’s laughing now? They may be proven guilty later - beware of hoof-in-mouth-disease this month!

The trickster planet of communication, Mercury, enters the fun, storytelling and sometimes, obnoxious sign of Sagittarius October 29th. Great for comedy, gatherings, and joyous discussions. This means we can communicate in a more light-hearted way and see the humor in things, even if it’s not easy. But watch what we are being prompted to laugh at now, because from the end of the month into mid-December, we find the truth and what was laughed at was actually not amusing.

Topics prominent in our lives from late October til November 9th will come back and we will see it in a new light when Mercury crosses back over this range in the skies at the end of the month. Mercury goes retrograde November 9th while in Sagittarius, hiking back into the deep Scorpio, bringing back up topics we thought were put to bed. It can be secrets and reveals out there in the headlines. We finish November with Mercury stationing direct in Scorpio November 29th and reentering Sagittarius with a sigh of relief for now knowing the truth and we can move on, December 11th.

Jupiter also will be retrograding just 2 days after Mercury. Jupiter is joy, abundance, big, expansion. Jupiter amplifies where it is. Being in the sign of Cancer (also a water sign like Scorpio), there may be losses in families. Cancer represents families, and more specifically women or mother archetypes, caregivers, nurses. There could be healthcare matters or a reveal about healthcare workers, including maternity and reproductive care, in the headlines.

Now that you know the weather report for the first half of the month, let’s see how it may impact you. For all, it is a time of retrospect, for deeper understanding about life cycles, about spirituality, and your belief systems. What is the family unit to you, what are your family values?

The full supermoon in Taurus is November 5th, highlighting fertility, our food supply and quality, finances and income, while opposite the sun in Scorpio we can see both sides of a situation and must discern what is for us and what is ok to be let go, so we can have some balance on a personal and professional level. This is the financial axis, are you being paid what you’re worth? Now you can see it clearly.

Water Signs - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces: That full moon feels good, it’s in an earth sign which blends beautifully with water to support new growth potentials. With the retrograding Mercury and Jupiter, you get to sit back and watch, intuitively, as the world catches up with what you’ve felt. It’s an easier time for you to separate from the hype as the world slows down, and some may actually show an interest to understand what you’ve been trying to express. Your emotions do run even deeper, and for some of you, you may choose to withdraw from the “rat race.” It is better to be alone than to be with those who are constantly in conflict.

Earth Signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn: The full moon highlights your partnerships, a reflection of your choices. Is this person/these people or this career choice healthy for you? Is it delivering on its promise? Do you feel seen, is there calibration and chemistry or is it drying up? The retrograding planets are good to support slowing down so you can actually see what’s going on, and you can make adjustments or an updated plan during the rest of the month. A beautiful time to draw, paint, craft, rearrange your plants, and tie up loose ends for the season. This means people, circumstances, and even promises to self. Be sure you are receiving fair treatment and feeling valued.

Fire Signs - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius: You’re the ones who have to be careful due to your sheer spontaneous nature! You are blunt, straightforward, and brutally honest, but may lack compassion or the ability to withhold your commentary. It’s going to burn you when the shoe is on the other foot, or the other shoe drops, in a month from now. Take a moment to pause before speaking, because words spoken in haste can wound, and no matter how much you apologize, their impact cannot be undone. With retrograding planets, the best way to use this energy is to take a look at yourself, your actions, your trajectory, and make adjustments. Are you walking your talk? Practicing what you preach? Withhold your advice unless it is asked for this month. Be mindful not to come off as bully-ish or a know-it-all.

Air Signs - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius: Mercury and Mars have been running together and this can have you spurt out things and you don’t know where it came from! The retrograding planets need your energy to balance emotions, to rationalize thought where some feel they are going off the deep end. People strongly do need your humor, but in a tasteful way. That is a great gift of air signs - social, ice-breakers, and thought-leaders. Luckily you have Pluto in air for the next 19 years, helping you have just the right thing to say, and being able to energy-match who you are speaking to, to help them feel seen, heard, and valued. The full moon may inspire you to write or draw, or come up with a new concept to share in social circles, maybe even invent a new game, app or platform to bring people of like mind together.
