Olean Food Barn Raises Funds for HomeCare & Hospice Foundation with Cinnamon Care Blossom Donut Fundraiser
A sweet collaboration turns handcrafted donuts into meaningful community support for compassionate hospice care.
OLEAN - HomeCare & Hospice Foundation is grateful to Olean Food Barn for its generous support through the Cinnamon Care Blossom donut fundraiser held throughout the month of November. During the promotion, Olean Food Barn sold 244 four-packs of the special donuts, raising awareness and funds in support of compassionate hospice care.
Scott McCann and Jim Stoddard, co-owners of Olean Food Barn, recently presented a $500 donation to Melissa Sullivan, CEO of HomeCare & Hospice, and Meme Yanetsko, Director of Advancement for HomeCare & Hospice Foundation.
“We are incredibly thankful to Scott, Jim, and the entire Olean Food Barn team for turning something as simple as a donut into a meaningful act of community care,” said Sullivan. “Their creativity, generosity, and commitment to local causes truly reflect the heart of this community.”
The Cinnamon Care Blossom donuts featured handcrafted maple blossoms created by Olean Food Barn’s bakery staff. According to McCann and Stoddard, “This fundraiser was truly a labor of love. Our bakery staff put a lot of care and time into creating the maple blossoms that made each donut special, and we were proud to support the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation in this way.”
Olean Food Barn plans to partner with the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation again in 2026, with some taste-testing already on the horizon to explore a similar donut creation that may be less labor-intensive while keeping the same spirit of giving.
