Downtown Ellicottville transforms into a weekend-long culinary celebration featuring local restaurants, specialty tastings, live entertainment, and patriotic festivities honoring America's 250th Birthday.
ELLICOTTVILLE - Dig out those loose-fitting shorts and get ready for Ellicottville’s most delicious weekend of the year as the Taste of Ellicottville returns Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9, 2026. The heart of the village will once again transform into a vibrant, open-air food festival, with restaurants setting up café-style along Washington and Monroe Streets to serve small bites and signature dishes that showcase the incredible flavors of Ellicottville.
This year’s event will also celebrate America’s 250th Birthday, adding a patriotic spirit to a weekend already known for food, fun, and community. Guests can expect red, white, and blue decorations throughout the village, festive entertainment, and a celebration of the traditions that bring people together around the table.
From gourmet sliders and house-smoked BBQ to fresh summer favorites and decadent desserts, it’s the perfect opportunity to sample your way through the local culinary scene, one ticket at a time. Tasting tickets are $1 each, with menu items ranging from $1 to $5, and will be available for purchase throughout the event.

This year's America's 250th Birthday theme will inspire restaurants to celebrate the history of food itself. From time-honored recipes and classic American fare to dishes that reflect culinary traditions spanning generations and cultures, guests can enjoy a taste of the past alongside modern favorites. Many visitors may also recognize some beloved menu items that have become Taste of Ellicottville favorites over the years, adding a nostalgic element to the weekend's festivities.
In addition to the outstanding food selections, attendees can enjoy specialty tastings from two of Ellicottville’s most popular beverage destinations at the Village Gazebo. The Winery of Ellicottville will offer samples of its locally crafted and award-winning wines, while Ellicottville Distillery will provide guests with the opportunity to taste handcrafted spirits produced right here in Ellicottville. These tastings add another layer of flavor to the weekend and highlight the craftsmanship that has made both businesses favorites among locals and visitors alike.
