OLEAN - Community Care of Western New York (dba HomeCare & Hospice) and Total Senior Care proudly recognized Trans Am Ambulance Services with its 2026 Founder's Award, the organization's highest honor, during its annual Board of Directors luncheon in July.
Established in 1986, the Founder's Award honors individuals and organizations whose leadership, service, and unwavering commitment have strengthened healthcare throughout the region. Trans Am Ambulance Services was selected for its decades-long partnership with Community Care of Western New York, particularly its collaboration with Total Senior Care, where dependable transportation and compassionate service play a vital role in helping participants receive the care they need.
Owners Anna and Todd Reisner accepted the award on behalf of the entire Trans Am team.
"We are deeply honored to receive this recognition," the Reisners said. "This award reflects the values that guide our organization every day: service, leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to our community. My father, the late Walt Reisner, always reminded us, 'Your greatness is not what you have; it is what you give.' That timeless message continues to guide us every single day. We know that none of this would be possible without an incredible team, and we are grateful to stand alongside Community Care of Western New York in serving local families."
Melissa Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Community Care of Western New York, said the award recognizes much more than dependable transportation.
"Trans Am Ambulance Services has been an exceptional partner because they understand that every ride represents a person who deserves compassion, dignity, and respect," Sullivan said. "Their team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our participants receive the care they need, and they share our belief that healthcare is about serving people with kindness. We are honored to recognize their dedication with this year's Founder's Award."
During the luncheon, Community Care of Western New York also recognized two longtime board members for their years of dedicated service:
Michael MacWilliams - 45 years of service to the Community Care of Western New York Board of Directors
Donna Bliven - 10 years of service to the Community Care of Western New York Board of Directors
