Aleksi Campagne Returns to Art’s Cafe for October 2 Concert
Montreal-based singer, songwriter and violinist Aleksi Campagne brings his blend of folk, jazz, fiddle and live looping to Art’s Cafe in Springville on October 2.
PHOTO CREDIT: ANNA SELLERSSPRINGVILLE - Montreal based performer, Aleksi Campagne, will return to Art’s Cafe for the second time on October 2, 2026. He is a bilingual artist performing in both English and French, with music that combines folk songwriting, fiddle, live looping and influences from contemporary music. This performance is presented by Springville Center for the Arts.
Campagne began performing with his family as a child and later studied classical and jazz violin at McGill University. He spent two years in Paris studying with renowned jazz violinist Didier Lockwood, bringing together his folk background, jazz training and formal violin studies in a sound that is distinctly his own.
His debut album, For the Giving / Sans rien donner, earned him the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award for Francophone Songwriter of the Year and was named New Discovery of the Year by Penguin Eggs and Roots Music Canada. He’s continued to gain recognition throughout Canada, winning the 32nd edition of Ma remière Place des Arts, along with several additional awards, including the Hydro-Québec Song of the Year prize for “Rome.” The Montreal Gazette described Campagne as someone who “isn't just a folksinger with a guitar” as his live performances receive attention for the way he moves between instruments and languages seamlessly (The Garnet Report).
