Cardinal Hills Golf Course Welcomes Golfers for the 2026 Season with Tournaments, Junior Programs and Family Fun

Approaching its 100th anniversary, Cardinal Hills Golf Course continues to blend affordability, scenic views, family traditions, and community support while offering an exciting lineup for the 2026 golf season.

For nearly 100 years, Cardinal Hills has welcomed golfers to its beautiful 18-hole course, less than half an hour south of Ellicottville, at 78 Conewango Road in Randolph. Owners Eric and Peggy Brown are excited for the summer season, as Cardinal Hills has teed up a full slate of tournaments, daily tee times, family dinners, and more!

Founded in 1927, Cardinal Hills is a locally-owned and operated course with strong ties to the community and some of the best views in Cattaraugus County. According to the Browns, “What really sets us apart is the combination of affordability, a well-maintained course, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're playing your first round or you've been golfing for decades, we want people to feel comfortable here.”

The owners noted that Cardinal Hills continues to reinvest in the course and facilities each season. They explained, “Recent upgrades include a full redesign of Hole #2 - now a 527-yard par 5 with a bunker-protected green and a beautiful view back toward Randolph Central School. We’ve also refreshed our golf cart fleet, replaced the clubhouse roof and siding, and made several interior updates to keep the space comfortable for our golfers and guests.” Speaking of the club house, the Browns pointed out that it’s becoming a popular destination on Friday nights, as their Friday night dinners are a great gathering place for families, where “adults can relax on the patio while children enjoy the putting green below or a friendly game of sneaks.”

The course offers league play, daily tee times, and several tournaments throughout the season. The Browns said many of these long-running events bring golfers back year after year. For example, the Mike Benca Memorial Two-Person Best Ball Tournament, which took place on June 14th, has supported the Cardinal Hills Junior Golfers program and Mike Benca Scholarship Fund for 15 years. In fact, this tournament is just one of the ways Cardinal Hills supports young golfers in the area. “Being located right next to Randolph Central School gives us a unique opportunity to see young golfers develop an interest in the game,” the Browns said. “It's not uncommon to see students walk over after school to hit balls or play a few holes. One day we even noticed a golf pull cart parked in the school's bike rack, which gave us a good laugh.”

Cardinal Hills proudly supports Randolph and surrounding area golf teams. The course operates a Junior Golf League with two age divisions that runs from June 30th through August 13th. “Helping young golfers get started in the game is something that’s important to us and to the future of the sport,” the owners emphasized.

With spring – a rather rainy one – now in the rearview mirror, the Browns are happy to see warmer, dryer weather and the course in good shape. “Mostly, we're looking forward to another season of great golf and seeing familiar faces, along with new golfers discovering Cardinal Hills for the first time,” they said. “We're also excited to be getting closer to our 100th anniversary next year. Since 1927, Cardinal Hills has been part of the Randolph community, and we're proud to continue that tradition.

The Browns added, “For those looking for the easiest access to preferred tee times, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are often great choices. We also offer packages for smaller golf outings and midweek corporate events.” For more information, contact Eric Brown at ericbrown@cardinalhillsny.com.
