Coffee Meets Cupcakes: Katy’s Cafe Partners with Cupcaked
Katy’s Cafe Partners with Cupcaked to Bring Irresistible Treats to Accompany Your Coffee
In a heartwarming display of local business collaboration, Katy’s Cafe has teamed up with Cupcaked Bakery to bring an extra sprinkle of joy to the community - literally. Customers can now enjoy a rotating selection of fresh, specialty baked goods right alongside their favorite cup of coffee and morning breakfast wrap. Think rich chocolate cupcakes, whimsical yet delicious cookies, delicate French macarons, and more - all crafted by Annie Coe and her team just down the street. It’s the kind of partnership that feels as natural as, well, coffee and a sweet treat.
“Coffee and baked goods go hand-in-hand,” said Katy Arena, owner of Katy’s Cafe. “We’re excited to offer a little something extra to our customers, and Cupcaked’s creations are the perfect match.”
The collaboration isn’t just about flavor - it’s about community. In a time when small businesses face increasing operational costs and other challenges, local owners are finding strength in creative partnerships like this one.
“I was getting my baked goods from a distributor,” said Katy, “and it dawned on me that we have a baker right here in Ellicottville, and I thought to myself, ‘Why am I not supporting local?’ I love the stuff that Annie does. It makes sense to bring her into the cafe.”
“We’ve run our businesses parallel to each other for 8+ years,” added Annie Coe, owner and head baker at Cupcaked. “And to be attacking our business models together now is something that is bringing us both so much joy!”
Choose from an impressive array of goodies in the case at Katy’s - from oatmeal peanut butter bars and blueberry scones to cake bombs, cookies and soon, cinnamon rolls. “Scone flavors will change regularly, and we’ll restock the case every Thursday for guaranteed freshness for the weekend,” said Coe.
The collaborations don’t end here. Katy’s Cafe is welcoming a number of other local businesses when Mother’s Day rolls around. Thanks to a creative partnership between some of the community’s favorite women-owned businesses, Katy Arena is brewing up something extra special to turn the café into a one-stop celebration destination for moms.
On Sunday, May 11th, customers can stop by Katy’s not just for their favorite latte and a special breakfast menu, but also to pick up a beautiful handcrafted flower bouquet and even get permanent jewelry on-site.
“We wanted to create an experience that goes beyond just a cup of coffee,” said Arena. “Mother’s Day is a chance to honor the women who do so much, and we thought - why not make it easy, fun, and local to show them some love? We have a special Mother's Day brunch menu that we’ll be serving from 8:00am-2:00pm… hopefully the weather is nice and we’ll have the patio open.”
Annie Coe will not only have the Cupcaked case stocked, she’ll also have beautiful mini-cakes and royal iced cookie boxes especially created for mom’s special weekend - available Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the cafe.
Nicole Polino of Flowers Off the Farm will set up a pop-up floral stand right inside the cafe on Saturday and Sunday, offering one-of-a-kind bouquet arrangements in stunning seasonal blooms. It’s a perfect last-minute gift or thoughtful surprise for moms, grandmas, and mother-figures alike.
And for those looking to give something lasting, Ava Grace Fashions owner, Jessica Gilbert, will offer the popular permanent jewelry by PermaLinx (Sunday only) - delicate, stylish chains custom-fitted and permanently attached for a beautiful, clasp-free bracelet or anklet. Choose from a variety of chains and charms - a perfect pairing for you and mom.
Breakfast, flowers, jewelry, and dessert? Customers are already buzzing about the new offerings.
