Ellicottville Memorial Library Announces Summer Reading Program and June Activities
Summer Reading sign-ups begin July 2 as the library continues story time, adult crafts, and its annual book sale for the community.
ELLICOTTVILLE – The Ellicottville Memorial Library is gearing up for a busy summer season! Whether you’re reading on the beach, in your own yard, or on the library’s back patio, there’s a book waiting for you to check out at the library!
The library’s annual Summer Reading Program, themed “Unearth A Story,” will officially begin July 6, with sign-ups opening July 2. The program will include reading challenges, activities, prizes, and more for participants of all ages. Children, teens, and adults are all encouraged to participate.
In addition to summer programming, the library continues to offer a variety of community activities throughout June. Story Time with Dr. Kate takes place Wednesdays at 9:30am and includes stories, sing-alongs, and crafts. Weekly themes include turtles, salamanders, Father’s Day, and summer
Adults can participate in “Crafts with Cathy,” held Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00pm. June’s featured project is Suncatcher Wind Chimes. Please note that there will be no Crafts with Cathy sessions during July and August.
The library’s ongoing book sale continues through this Saturday, June 13 during regular library hours. Books, puzzles, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs are available, with all proceeds benefiting the library. The Ellicottville Memorial Library is located at 6499 Maples Rd., Ellicottville.
