ELLICOTTVILLE - On November 11, 2025, The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame held its 2025 Induction Ceremony at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center that included two-time Olympian and U.S. Ski Team veteran Jillian Vogtli. Growing up in the well-known ski town of Ellicottville, NY, Vogtli’s remarkable career in freestyle skiing has earned her a place among New York State’s most celebrated athletes.

Vogtli, who competed in the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, is a two-time U.S. national champion in moguls and has represented the United States in five World Cup seasons and multiple World Championships. Her journey began in the Holiday Valley Freestyle Program, where she first discovered her passion for skiing and the “bumps” developing the skills that would carry her to the world stage.

Now based in Utah, Vogtli continues to make an impact in the ski community through her work at Deer Valley Resort, where she is actively involved in programs that support and empower women skiers. Her commitment to mentorship and holistic coaching has helped foster a strong and inclusive environment for female athletes.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame,” said Vogtli. “Ellicottville and Western New York are forever woven into my soul, and last night reminded me why looking out and seeing all of your loving, familiar faces meant the world.”

A happy contingent from Ellicottville, Holiday Valley and coaches from the Holiday Valley Freestyle Team were on hand to celebrate this lifetime achievement.
