Each year, Sirius, the brightest star, situated in Orion’s Belt, rises and aligns with the sun in Leo and the earth. The ancients were aware of this alignment, for this also lines up precisely with the Great Pyramids of Giza. This is referred to as The Lion’s Gate Portal. It peaks on August 8th, when the numerology of 8-8 occurs. Being a year 9, this is a true closing of corrupted old archetypes and systems. Yay!
People of many cultures and belief systems honor and celebrate this bracket of time with manifestation rituals, praying for healing and guidance, and being open to receive any type of miracle energy.
This year however, because of all the outer planets changing signs, it takes on a much deeper role for humankind. It is anticipated we will have significantly more extra-terrestrial downloads, communications and divine wisdom, as well as upgrades and remembrances of other lifetimes and alternate realities. It is a time to allow the old world, outdated beliefs, close for good.
I always hold a transformational weekend retreat during the Lion’s Gate portal energy. This year I am happy to share it is being held at the Boyd Family Ranch (lots of horses roaming around us there) in Otto and is limited to only 20 attendees to keep it intimate.

Air Signs: Gemini, Libra Aquarius
Brilliant new ideas and even more to think about will be dancing around your head! Take advantage of these insights by documenting them! Speak them into your voice recorder, journal, write them down or draw what you see. It’s a fantastic energy to write, speak, and connect with others, especially if you have just gone through a clearing out of people in your circles and want to find your tribe. They are looking for you, too. Look for groups to join or attend themed events that align to who you are and what you seek. Try listening to some cool new music, ancient tones, other languages (especially of the spirit), or study sacred geometry, expand your knowledge base, and connect with the stars! Don’t be surprised when they talk back - via a feeling, an inner knowing, download of information, or synchronistic event!
Fire signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
The fire is ablaze as the sun is in its rulership in Leo. For you, this is a time to finish eliminating any residue from the springtime and letting outdated ideas die off, noticing what has arisen because of it. There is something that resulted which is inviting you to realign to your true self and shine in this new, cleaner sense of self, and inspire others to do the same! It’s a fantastic energy for attending something that will inspire you, offer new perspectives on themes you enjoy, and know the universe is birthing things to answer what you’ve been asking for, so notice what this or these things are! Excellent for hot fun in the summertime, romance and celebrating life itself. This is an easy and powerful manifestation time for you - make it count!
Earth signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
You’ve had turbulence in your life lately, because something had to give. Maybe several somethings, or someones, needed to heat up a situation to a boiling point so you can make more informed choices on your next moves, next steps ahead. Things are speeding up and that makes earth signs uncomfortable. You can’t change your outside world, but you can decide how you let it impact you. Observe, because in the new year, you’ll be really happy that you didn’t step out of character and become impulsive. And if you did, it’s time to let yourself cool down and regroup. Change is constant; either learn to accept this or life is much more challenging. You can’t stay in one grade forever. It’s time to allow yourself the grace to upgrade now and then. Try working with something supernatural like crystals, or get a book on astrology, outer space, galactic, light language or ancient wisdom, and expand your intelligence.
Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
This busy time is not always super comfortable for water signs. What will be perfect for you is to relax under a shady tree or in a nice body of water or hot tub, and just be! Newly inspired visions, new dreams, new potentials and new realities will enter your energy field for your consideration. Take advantage of this by writing it down or writing lyrics, a song, create poetry, a painting or other crafty creation to be able to transfer these visions and feelings into something tangible that maybe you can share! This is a very highly creative time for you, which you may also become aware of when you lived in the water, playing with other mermaids and mermen, when you spoke freely and easily with dolphin and whales. This is the essence of Lemuria, which is strongly resonant to you! If you must cry something out because it, or he/she or a favorite pet is no longer in your physical life, allow for them to cleanse your heart and bless your soul during this deep time of reflection, for there is deep love for you there. Allow yourself to believe, to know, and to feel this loving support. It is subtle but very powerful.
Expect big synchronicities! Enjoy these few weeks in your own sacred way. Do something special for yourself. Celebrate your life and find lots of things to be grateful for. Depending on your own nature, celebrate in silence, alone, at a retreat, with family, with others, with your pet(s) or in nature in your own special way. Listen to your favorite music and let yourself drift off. It is in that drifting off energy that the messages and feelings come.
