HOLIDAY VALLEY - Looking for one of the best summer music festivals in New York? Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 25, when the 42 North Brewing HillTAP Festival returns to Holiday Valley with live music, scenic mountain views, local craft beverages, outdoor activities, and a full day of summer fun in Ellicottville.
Now in its sixth year, HillTAP has become one of Western New York's signature summer events. It combines everything people love about a day in the mountains - great music, fresh air, local food and drinks, and unforgettable scenery, into one unique festival experience.
RIDE TO THE MUSIC: Unlike a typical music festival, HillTAP begins with a scenic chairlift ride to Spruce Lake, where guests can relax by the water while enjoying live music surrounded by the beauty of Holiday Valley.
Bring a camp chair or picnic blanket, settle in by the lake, and spend the afternoon listening to live performances before the festival moves to Tannenbaum Lodge for an evening of music, food, and fun. It's a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find anywhere else in New York.
A LINEUP WORTH THE TRIP: Whether you're a longtime Americana fan or simply enjoy discovering great live music, this year's lineup delivers. The day begins at the Spruce Lake Cabin Stage with Buffalo favorites Ed Croft & Tina Williams from 1:00-4:00pm. Their blend of roots, blues, soul, and country provides the perfect soundtrack for a relaxing afternoon in the great outdoors.
Making their Western New York debut, Pressing Strings takes the Tannenbaum Stage from 4:00-5:30pm. The Annapolis, Maryland trio is known for energetic performances that blend rock, blues, folk, and Americana. Their soulful songwriting and engaging stage presence have earned them opportunities to perform alongside Gov't Mule, JJ Grey, and Neil Francis.
Finally, headlining HillTAP is Driftwood, one of New York's premier Americana bands. Since 2005, the group has built a devoted following with heartfelt songwriting, exceptional musicianship, and high-energy performances. If you've seen them at GrassRoots Festival, Borderland Festival, or another live venue, you already know why they're the perfect band to close out an incredible day in the mountains.
MORE THAN A MUSIC FESTIVAL: HillTAP is more than live music, it's a chance to experience summer at Holiday Valley. Festival guests can enjoy scenic chairlift rides to Spruce Lake, craft beer from 42 North Brewing, hard cider from 1911, great food from Fat Bob's BBQ and Dina’s, axe throwing with Hatchets & Hops, mountain bike demos and outdoor vendors, and plenty of room to relax, explore, and enjoy the mountain setting.
Whether you're planning a couple’s getaway, gathering with friends, or bringing the whole family, there's something happening throughout the day. Turn your festival visit into a weekend getaway by staying at Holiday Valley.
After the music, explore the shops, restaurants, breweries, and nightlife in Ellicottville before returning to the resort for another day of mountain adventure. RV camping and special lodging packages for HillTAP attendees make it easy to extend your stay and enjoy everything the area has to offer.
If you're searching for things to do in Ellicottville this summer or looking for a Western New York music festival that offers more than just great bands, HillTAP delivers an experience unlike any other.
