HoliTrot 5K Trail Run Returns to HoliMont for Ellicottville’s Fall Festival 2025
Take in peak foliage views, ride the chairlift to the starting line, and race through HoliMont’s trails as part of Ellicottville’s iconic Fall Festival weekend.
ELLICOTTVILLE - Runners and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to take part in a one-of-a-kind race this fall during Ellicottville’s legendary Fall Festival. The HoliTrot 5K Trail Run, hosted at HoliMont Resort on October 13th, combines fitness, fun, and breathtaking autumn views in one unforgettable experience.
Unlike traditional races, the HoliTrot 5K begins with a scenic chairlift ride to the top of HoliMont’s slopes, where runners will be greeted by sweeping vistas of peak foliage at the starting line. From there, participants will follow a 5K trail course winding through vibrant autumn woods, showcasing the natural beauty and trails that make Ellicottville a premier fall destination. After crossing the finish line, runners and spectators can enjoy a post-race celebration featuring fall-themed fare, swag, and family-friendly activities.
“This event is designed for runners of all levels,” said Travis Widger, HoliMont’s Snowsports Director. “Whether you’re a competitive athlete or someone who simply wants to enjoy a fun run through the colors of fall, the HoliTrot 5K offers a welcoming and scenic way to celebrate the season.”
The HoliTrot also features a Kids Race for ages 5 and up, beginning at 9:30am, followed by the main 5K race at 10:00am. Spots are limited; register early to secure your spot!
The race is part of Ellicottville’s Fall Festival, a Western New York favorite outdoor festival, which draws thousands of visitors each year for a weekend of food, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
