Ellicottville native and Holiday Valley ski instructor Nicholas Oliverio is remembered for his adventurous spirit, dedication to work, and inspiring perseverance.


Nicholas Oliverio, age 31, of Dulwich Village, London, UK, passed away on January 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Nick was born on March 18, 1994 in Olean, New York and grew up in Ellicottville, New York. He graduated from Ellicottville Central School and worked as a ski instructor at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville. Nick earned a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master's degree from the University of Leeds in Leeds, UK.



Nick is survived by his wife, Clementine Pellegrin; his parents, Jean and Vincent Oliverio; his brother, Eric Oliverio; his grandmother, Angela Oliverio; his parents-in-law, Renee-Lise and Frederic Pellegrin; his brother-in-law, Elliott Pellegrin; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends in the U.S. and the UK; and his beloved dog, Bailey.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Marie and Stuart Martin, and his paternal grandfather, Vincent J. Oliverio.

Nick worked as Head of Product Research for the Reuters UX Research team in London, UK. He excelled in his work and took great pride in it, often encouraging his friends and family to follow Reuters News. Despite facing intense treatment for Glioblastoma, Nick continued to work and even earned a promotion. Never wanting to be defined by a diagnosis, Nick lived life fully and with strong determination. He loved the life that he and Clementine built together and possessed a charismatic sense of adventure and enthusiasm. Always looking forward with his 'good vibes only' attitude, Nick will be forever loved and deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Nick's family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff at King's College Hospital in London for the compassionate care they provided during Nick's final two months.

Funeral arrangements were provided by W. Uden & Sons. A UK Celebration of Life was held on February 14, 2026. A U.S. Celebration of Life will be held in Ellicottville, New York.
