Special Consensus to Headline Three Corners Bluegrass Festival in Chaffee on August 30
Award-winning bluegrass legends Special Consensus will headline a full day of live music, food, and family fun as the nonprofit Three Corners Bluegrass Festival returns to Chaffee on Saturday, August 30.
CHAFFEE - The Three Corners Bluegrass Festival is set to bring a full day of live music and community spirit to The Annex in Chaffee on Saturday, August 30, headlined by internationally acclaimed bluegrass group Special Consensus.
Celebrating over 50 years of excellence, Special Consensus remains one of the most respected names in bluegrass music. The band is a two-time GRAMMY nominee and eight-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award winner, known for blending traditional bluegrass roots with a fresh, contemporary sound.
Led by founder Greg Cahill, an IBMA Distinguished Achievement Award recipient and inductee into the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America Hall of Greats, Special Consensus has performed around the world and appeared on stages such as the Grand Ole Opry. Their influence extends beyond performance through their long-running Traditional American Music (TAM) Program, which introduces bluegrass music to students across the country and internationally.
The band's latest album, Been All Around This World (2025), celebrates their 50th anniversary and showcases the legacy that has made them a cornerstone of bluegrass music.
In addition to Special Consensus, the festival will feature performances by the all-female Hazel Project Band and the Buffalo Bluegrass All-Stars, along with opening acts WNY Fiddle Kids and The Home Tones.
More than just a day of music, the Three Corners Bluegrass Festival is a nonprofit event, with proceeds directly supporting youth music programs in the local community. Organizers hope the event not only brings people together but also helps inspire the next generation of musicians.
The festival will run from 10:00am-5:00pm at The Annex in Chaffee, NY, offering six hours of live traditional bluegrass along with a variety of food trucks. The event will be held rain or shine, with both a pavilion and tent on site. Tickets are available locally at the Wyoming County Arts Council in Perry and Joseph's Mercantile in Arcade, or online at eventbrite.com. The festival aims to bring the community together while preserving bluegrass traditions and creating opportunities for young musicians to grow.
