Winter Music Jam Returns to Ellicottville Feb. 13–15 with Three Days of Free Live Music
The Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce brings three days of free live music, walkable nightlife, and Valentine’s weekend energy to the village.
Cabin fever doesn’t stand a chance in Ellicottville as the village turns up the volume for Winter Music Jam, returning this weekend, February 13-15th with a full weekend of live performances spread across all the popular hot spots throughout the downtown business district. Organized by the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce, the festival blends winter recreation with a walkable, music-filled nightlife scene, all with free admission and a wide mix of musical styles. And this year it arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend, adding an extra spark of romance to the celebration.
From après-ski sets to dinner-hour performances and late-night dance floors, Winter Music Jam transforms downtown into a rolling soundtrack for the weekend. Visitors can move from venue to venue, warming up indoors with live bands while enjoying Ellicottville’s restaurants, boutiques, cafés, and bars along the way.
“We love giving people a reason to stay out and enjoy the village in the heart of winter,” said Barb Pump, Executive Director of the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. “Winter Music Jam brings incredible regional talent into town and creates such a fun, welcoming energy. With it falling on Valentine’s Day weekend this year, it’s the perfect excuse to turn a day trip into a full getaway.”
This year’s schedule features more than a dozen performances across the three-day stretch, showcasing everything from funk and country to pop and party favorites. Among the highlighted acts:
Friday, Feb. 13th, 6:30pm: The Funkensteins @ Balloons Restaurant - Known for their dance-driven funk and party grooves, The Funkensteins specialize in high-energy sets packed with rhythm, horns, and crowd-friendly hits that quickly turn a room into a dance floor.
Saturday, Feb. 14th, 7:00pm: The Girls of Grosh @ Villaggio - This acoustic duo has built a strong following for their polished vocals and gritty guitar riffs. They perform stripped-down renditions of originals and favorite covers, showcasing a blend of soulful, melodic, and blues-influenced rock.
Sunday, Feb. 15th, 4:00pm: Cami Clune @ Holiday Valley’s T-Bar) - Western New York vocalist Cami Clune brings a soulful pop style and nationally recognized voice to the slopeside stage, offering a powerful live performance to close out the weekend’s musical run.
Pump says the weekend is designed to be experienced, not rushed. “We always encourage visitors to make a full weekend out of it,” she said. “Book a room, make your dinner reservations, explore the shops, and follow the music from place to place. The village is compact and walkable, so it’s easy - and fun! - to build your own music crawl.”
With Valentine’s Day falling right in the middle of the festival, Winter Music Jam also pairs naturally with romantic plans. Couples can spend the day skiing and snowboarding, enjoy a fireside lunch or après-ski drink, browse downtown shops for unique gifts, then settle in for dinner and live music. Local restaurants will be featuring seasonal specials and Valentine’s menus, and shops throughout the village offer everything from specialty foods and wine to apparel, art, and handcrafted gifts, making it easy to add a thoughtful surprise to the weekend.
“Live music, great food, winter sports, shopping… it all comes together here,” Pump said. “It’s not just a concert weekend. It’s an experience. Bring your Valentine, bring your friends, and plan to stay awhile.”
All Winter Music Jam performances are open to the public with no cover charge. A full performance schedule, along with lodging, dining, and activity information, is available at ellicottvilleny.com. Visitors can also follow @visitellicottville on social media for updates and weekend highlights.
