Kinzua Rocks the Wake Returns with Magic, Music, and Extreme Water Thrills this Labor Day Weekend
Three days of waves, wonder, and high-energy entertainment hit Kinzua Beach for the ultimate Labor Day weekend send-off.
BRADFORD, PA - If you’re looking for the perfect way to say goodbye to summer, look no further than Kinzua Rocks the Wake, the three-day, high-energy festival splashing down at Kinzua Beach on the Allegheny Reservoir this Labor Day weekend, August 30th-September 1st.
This is not your average lakeside hangout - it’s a weekend packed with championship-level water ski aerobatics, breathtaking jet ski stunts, gravity-defying flyboarding, and live entertainment that will keep the shoreline rocking from noon to night. Add in the gorgeous backdrop of the Allegheny National Forest, and you’ve got one of the most exciting (and scenic) ways to wrap up your summer.
COMEDY, MAGIC AND MAYHEM TO KICK OFF EACH DAY
Each day at 12:00pm, the Kinzua Beach Stage will come alive with comedy magicians who mix mind-bending illusions with laugh-out-loud humor.
Saturday, Aug. 30th: Mr. Kazam is a two-time Magician of the Year and a featured performer on Penn & Teller Fool Us (Season 4). His interactive show is full of surprises - floating and vanishing objects, a trained snake, a volunteer sawed in half, and even a lie detector test that might just expose who in the audience is telling the truth!
Sunday, Aug. 31st: Sky Sands is described as a “modern-day court jester”. Sky Sands mixes magic, improv comedy, impressions, and unpredictable audience participation for a performance that feels less like a show and more like a shared adventure in madness and mayhem.
Monday, Sept. 1st: Brenden Trojan is a high-energy magician who blends sleight-of-hand, mind-reading, and interactive comedy into a fast-paced performance that will have you laughing, guessing, and wondering, “How on earth did he do that?”
EXCITEMENT ON THE WATER
The Chippewa Lake Water Ski Team and Ski Extreme’s Flyboard and Freestyle Jet Ski Team will be tearing up the water with thrilling, edge-of-your-seat performances. From giant jumps to flips and spins that defy physics, these pros make the Allegheny Reservoir their playground.
In between ski shows, festival-goers can relax on the beach, enjoy a snack from food vendors, or head back to the stage for live music from some of the region’s most talented musicians.
LIVE MUSIC TO KEEP THE VIBE ROLLING
Once the waves settle, the Beach Stage transforms into an acoustic hotspot and will feature the following:
Saturday, Aug. 30th: Local singer-songwriter Dan Roche (Port Allegany, PA) brings his warm acoustic sound after the 1:00pm water ski show. Later, Miranda Wilcox, an up-and-coming Western NY artist who moves effortlessly between rock, country, and R&B, takes the stage after the 4:00pm Ski Extreme show. She’ll also open the main stage for the Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute at 8:30pm.
Sunday, Aug. 31st: Ukulele artist Kallie Williams from Warren, PA offers an eclectic mix of hits from the ‘90s, 2000s, and today following the 1:00pm ski show. Then, Interstate Daydream - the duo of Rick Emley and Margie Tucker - will follow the 4:00pm jet ski performance and open the main stage for Classic Rock Experience at 8:30pm.
Monday, Sept. 1st: Doug Rigby from Ohio will fill the air with classic rock and country favorites after the 1:00pm ski performance, followed by the upbeat sounds of Marty’s Bubble Gum after the 2:00pm water ski jump show.
