New Guest House on Tap at EBC
EBC expands its footprint with the Rt. 219 Guest House, offering visitors a unique stay-and-sip experience.
With summer on the horizon, Ellicottville Brewing Company is embracing the season with a new addition: The Guest House at Route 219. Whether you’re a visitor seeking the full Ellicottville experience, a group of long-time friends, locals looking for a staycation, or a wedding brings you into town, this new space reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing the visitor experience while maintaining the brewery’s signature charm.

Formerly Groove Yoga & Dance Studio and Fattey Beer Company, Ellicottville Brewing Company owner, Peter Kreinheder, bought the location in 2024. After initially considering the space for a dog boarding facility, challenges in securing a non-commercialized vet led to a shift in vision - ultimately sparking the idea for another guest house. And so, the space underwent transformation at the start of 2025. Following four months of building and perfecting, the new Guest House at Route 219 went live the last week of May 2025. With five bedrooms (comfortably sleeping ten), twenty parking spaces, and two RV spots, totaling to 7,000 square feet, the second of two EBC Guest Houses transforms the landscape of hospitality in Ellicottville.
Kreinheder emphasizes the benefits of expanding accommodations in Ellicottville, stating, "Adding new accommodations is good for Ellicottville. Our guest houses can offer housing to catering customers with additional parking for events."
The EBC Guest House at Route 219 lodging experience stands out from others in that it is handicap accessible and is all on one level. “Being located right off the 219 is easy entry and yet private.” Its location is ideal for wedding parties, but Kreinheder notes that EBC’s other lodging facility, the Village Guest House located right in the Village, has seen other uses as well, like a college reunion.
Regarding the general feel of the new space, Kreinheder explains, “The interesting part about it is that it's zoned as a boutique hotel, but you rent the whole place. It seems to be in between a rental home and a boutique hotel.” But the overall feel is “…to be determined! The one downtown (EBC Guest House) is in the heart of the whole village, and that's the general feel. Everything is walkable. The Route 219 location just went live last week, so it's hard to tell because it's so new; we have some time to figure out what people like as they continue to rent out the place. It’s more private, but a short car ride into the village, so its location is still very convenient.”
Beyond offering convenient lodging, the Guest House at Route 219 comes with exclusive perks for guests. Kreinheder says, “I’m hoping to offer cooking classes and catering, like a private chef. Guests will also receive a $50 gift card, cases of beer stocked upon arrival, as well as a perk here, a perk there, based on a festival week. For example, if it’s Taste of Ellicottville, a charcuterie board, or for Fall Fest, beer and pretzels.”
To include challenges the company faced, Kreinheder points out the attention to every detail that goes into the guest experience, like “anything in a hotel checklist; all the stuff you take for granted. We also have elevated certain aspects, like a coffee pot to a Nespresso, a little nicer than a hotel room. Our Guest Houses also have nicer glass wear and nicer towels/soap. I hope we get people who appreciate it.”
The owner plans to expand other new ventures under the EBC Brand, but aspires to enhance the Guest House experience prior to that, like automations to make the booking experience and stay as easy and as comfortable as possible for guests.
Guests can book their stay directly through Ellicottville Brewing Company through Guesty - a platform that has all the booking platforms (VRBO, AirB&B, etc.) similar to a link tree.
The Guest House at Route 219 marks another step for Ellicottville Brewing Company, solidifying its place on the map not only as a beer destination but also local hospitality. And as the space welcomes its first guests, it is exciting to see how it will be embraced - whether by wedding parties celebrating the special occasion, winter enthusiasts enjoying bluebird/blizzard days on the slopes, or festival attendees immersing themselves in the village’s events. Each stay is intended to feel unique, embracing the guest experience. The Guest House is an extension of the brewery’s legacy, where guests can create lasting memories in a space that reflects the feel of Ellicottville.
