Rock N’ Roll Weekend and Ellicottville Lacrosse Festival Bring Music, Motors, and Sports to Town

Engines, guitars, and good times return as Rock N’ Roll Weekend kicks off September 12-14, followed by the fast-paced action of the Ellicottville Lacrosse Festival.

ELLICOTTVILLE - Engines will rumble and guitars will wail as Ellicottville once again transforms into the ultimate destination for car lovers and music fans. Rock N' Roll Weekend, happening September 12-14th, brings together an exciting mix of live performances and a classic car show that celebrates both horsepower and harmony.

Set in the heart of Ellicottville’s charming four-block downtown district, the festival will feature more than 20 live shows across indoor and outdoor venues. In addition to the music, the weekend also offers unique opportunities for community connection. On Saturday morning, Sept. 13th, Warrior Fitness and Wellness, 5 Park Ave., will host a special walk, with team registration and check-in at 10:00am and the walk beginning at 11:00am. The event invites participants to get moving together, blending fitness, camaraderie, and festival spirit before the afternoon’s big performances.

While the music lineup fuels the weekend, Sunday’s Classic Car Show remains the signature attraction. Over 200 vintage rides - everything from shiny Corvettes and elegant Cadillacs to muscle-bound Mustangs - will fill the village streets, each with its own story under the hood. The event also features Terry Buchwald’s high-energy Elvis Tribute Show starting at 1:30pm at the Village Gazebo, adding another layer of nostalgia to the afternoon.

“Rock N’ Roll Weekend has really become a tradition here in Ellicottville,” said Barb Pump, Executive Director of the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. “It’s such a fun, walkable festival - you can stroll from stage to stage, admire the cars, grab a bite to eat, and never miss a beat. There’s truly something for everyone.”

The car show will include judged categories, giving owners the chance to show off their restorations and compete for bragging rights. For visitors, it’s a chance to get up close to automotive legends and maybe even swap stories with the proud owners who’ve kept these classics alive.

And the fun doesn’t stop when Rock N’ Roll Weekend wraps up. The very next weekend, the spotlight shifts to the fields for the Ellicottville Lacrosse Festival, happening September 20th-21st at the Ellicottville Village Park and the Chamber Fields at Holiday Valley.

Now in its 7th year, the festival is hosted by Powell Lacrosse and Summit Lacrosse Ventures in collaboration with the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. With six divisions, players of all ages can take part in a weekend of spirited competition and camaraderie. Fans will also find official merchandise and plenty of sideline action to enjoy.

For Ryan Powell, Syracuse lacrosse legend and co-founder of Powell Lacrosse, events like this are about much more than the game. “Lacrosse camps and festivals have always been a huge part of my life. It’s exciting to share that passion with the next generation, not just to build skills, but to build teamwork and confidence that carry into everyday life,” Powell said.

Whether you’re a seasoned player, a young athlete, or just a fan of the sport, the Ellicottville Lacrosse Festival promises another exciting weekend filled with energy, community spirit, and plenty of action on the field.
