On Saturday, October 2nd, the Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail hosted its first annual charity bike ride from East Aurora to Ellicottville and raised $50,000 which will be used to continue to build the 27-mile rail trail that runs along the former Buffalo & Pittsburgh rail line.

CLAUSS: All new! Winter is always exciting, even after 20 years of starting winters I still get excited for the start to our favorite season.

Summer is over and many of us are eagerly awaiting the moment where the slopes in Ellicottville are covered in snow, but that doesn’t mean that there is a shortage of things to do at Holiday Valley right now.

After enduring all that 2020 had given us, we have come to learn the necessity of healthy outdoor activities. We have been thrilled with the response to the lift service so far this summer and hope to continue to keep things running.

As Ellicottville readies itself to host its largest festival of the year, the Special Events Committee, law enforcement and local officials would like to let you know what they have been working on.

On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the Rotary Club of Ellicottville presented a check in the amount of $25,000 to members of the Ellicottville Skatepark Committee (SK8EVL).  

The Ellicottville Town Planning Board has approved a minor subdivision with conditions for three lots near Somerville Valley Rd., and set a public hearing on a special use permit for a bar at a private indoor golf club on Route 219.

Over 300 Afghans will resettle in the Buffalo and Western New York area. They are refugees by definition, but not in the eyes of the government. Because of the urgency of their evacuation, those coming are labeled “humanitarian parolees.”
