January is Learn-to-Ski or Snowboard Month; The Tubing Park is open; Your Turn Women’s Ski Clinic

The popularity of the sport of disc golf has exploded, especially over the summer months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This past year proved to be yet another busy, challenging (and scary) year, but in the end, let’s hope 2020 ends with a ray of hope for us all with a New Year right around the corner, a prosperous 2021.

Demo Day is a great way to “try before you buy”, offering FREE ski and snowboard demos from each of Ellicottville’s specialty ski and snowboard shops.

COVID-19 has put a damper on many activities this year. Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE), in cooperation with the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce, wanted to bring some holiday spirit to the village.

The officials from area towns, villages and cities came together in April to have a moment of thanks to the essential workers from the area with clapping and bell ringing all month long.

For eleventh grader Elsa Woodarek, community service projects have been an integral part of her educational experience at Ellicottville Central School since seventh grade.

After COVID-19 forced an early season ender last March, ski resorts across the country have been chomping at the bit to get those lifts spinning again.

It’s a great time of year to see our streets in the Village. The holiday lights are up, the Ski Tree is glowing, snow guns have finally started to fire and skiing is back in our resort town.

HoliMont will be welcoming members and guests back to the slopes this Saturday, December 19th to kick off the 2020-21 season.
