Introducing Ellicottville Healing Center

Good for the Spirit Gifts Closing Retail Store; Healing Center to Take Its Place

ELLICOTTVILLE - Things are changing at 11 Martha Street. An EVL foodie staple, Bike and Bean, recently closed its doors there, and now the crystals shop across the hall is converting their sales platform to online. Good for the Spirit Gifts is reducing their footprint in the space by 80%, to make way for a new business venture, Ellicottville Healing Center.

Holistic Therapist Suzy Woo operates her healing and consulting practice from the office adjacent to the retail space. "I have a $12,000 light and sound therapy bed, a redlight sauna, and PEMF (pulsed electro magnetic field) biomats that are all sitting in a closet unable to be utilized because I didn't have a space to set them up. The original plan was after one year, we would move into the full rear of the building with plenty of extra space, but that project fell further and further behind. It's been almost three years in our current setup. The retail side never got the foot traffic to sustain its overhead. A reallocation of the floor space in this manner allows us to provide the services that people are in dire need of such as ways to heal, ways to reduce stress, ways to relax and ground their energy. People will still be able to buy crystals and healing tools before or after a session and our full inventory will be online as well."

She continued, “We need to put the unity back into the community. My intention is to host something special one day each week, in person, which will be open to the public - things like yoga, breathwork, ways to manage stress, intuitive development, how to make home remedies, making your own tea, homesteading, sound baths, holistic education, up-cycling, henna art, and monthly vendor fairs. We will have guests from all over come in to present on their specialty. During those events, the store will be open.”

“In addition, those who have or are taking my 16-week healer's course are trained to do high-level energy healing, and this will be their space to see clients. People will be able to go to our new website, choose what type of session they want, or they can choose a particular practitioner if they want to, and can book various types of services for their needs.”

Suzy’s goal: to increase mind/body/spirit awareness, and improve overall quality of life through education and services, featuring local and national experts. “We anticipate going live on June 1st, but we will confirm that as we get closer."
