The Ellicottville Historical Society is happy to announce that they will be hosting three in-person meetings this year. Each meeting will feature a different guest speaker and will take place at the Ellicottville Memorial Library.

A group of local organizers, working in collaboration with the nonprofit Remote Area Medical recently established the RAM Fund of Cattaraugus County to bring a free pop-up clinic back to Catt. County.

For the month of June, Ellicottville will serve as home to a 10’ bronze statue of Cheryl Strayed. In a lofty mission, artists from around the globe banned together to balance the gender and racial representation of public statues worldwide.

Each year, as a part of its mission, the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce looks to help the local community. In keeping with tradition, the Chamber Board has approved a donation for 2021 to the Ellicottville Alley Katz. 

What a sight to see recently at the corner of Washington and Madison in the village! The Ferrari Club of Upstate New York gathered to take in some of the sites in Ellicottville last weekend.

The Ellicottville Town Planning Board set a public hearing for a multi-unit rental enclave, approved a minor subdivision, and held pre-application talks with developers of a 5 MW solar energy project.

A life-like 10-ft. tall bronze sculpture of author Cheryl Strayed will be temporarily located in front of the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce building before being permanently installed at Griffis Sculpture Park.

ECS 5th grade teacher Nick Smith, along with Special Ed teacher Kristin Rocco, have been spending class time with their students cleaning up the courtyard to create a relaxing and beautiful open-air space for students and faculty to use.

Exactly one year to the day after the Station Bistro opened its doors, the thriving West Valley restaurant is ready to re-open after its three-week spring break to share a fresh menu, new live music and events, and very soon, a new chef!

The Ellicottville Village Board gathered for its monthly discussion on Tuesday, May 18th. The meeting opened with some good news, as the group went over the increase of this year’s county sales tax check. The amount of $108,010.62 is up by 4.9% compared to the previous term.
