A recent occurrence in Salamanca, NY saw the local library taking a large hit to their budget and future funding. After much deliberation and pleading, the cuts have been finalized and will go in effect beginning April 1, 2021.

Kristen Hintz was a senior at Ellicottville Central School when her life was tragically cut short by an automobile accident in 2000. Her memory lives on through a scholarship to help send Ellicottville graduates on to college.

The Wolfinger Family Fund at the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation is making possible $2,000 in support for the Ellicottville, Smethport (PA) and Coudersport (PA) school districts.

Students from the CA BOCES CTE Center at Ellicottville Power Equipment Technology program recently received a day of advanced heavy equipment electrical training.

At the beginning of October 2020, the family of Trenton Pierce of Great Valley organized a donation drive with the goal of raising funds to purchase an all-accessible mobile home, which will accommodate Trenton’s needs — who is diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
